MyBlockStudio Terms of Service

Article 1 (Purpose)

These Terms of Service define the rights, obligations, and responsibilities between the operator of MyBlockStudio (hereinafter "the Service"), MyBlockStudio (hereinafter "the Operator"), and users.

Article 2 (Service Overview)

The Service is a web-based platform for creating, saving, and sharing block designs. The Service includes the following features:

  • Block design creation and saving (2D/3D)
  • Design publishing and sharing
  • Community features such as comments, follows, and likes
  • Design reviews
  • Point (activity reward) system

Article 3 (Eligibility)

1. Accounts may be created by users aged 14 or older. Children under 14 may use the Service through a parent/legal guardian's account, with the guardian's consent and under their management and supervision.

2. If a child under 14 is found to have registered their own account without a guardian's consent, the Operator will notify the user, restrict access, and delete the account after a 30-day grace period during which the user may download their data.

Article 4 (Accounts and User Obligations)

1. Users are responsible for registering with accurate information and promptly updating any changes.

2. Users are responsible for securely managing their account credentials and may not transfer or share them with third parties.

3. The Operator is not liable for damages caused by unauthorized use of accounts.

4. Users bear full responsibility for all content they create and post.

Article 5 (Collection and Use of Personal Information)

1. The Operator collects the following personal information for service provision:

  • Email address (identification and notifications)
  • Nickname (display within the Service)
  • Password (stored encrypted)
  • Social login information (account identifiers from LINE, Google, Kakao, etc., when using social login)
  • Bio (profile display within the Service, optional)

2. The following information may be automatically collected during service use:

  • Access logs, IP addresses, browser information
  • Cookies (login maintenance and language settings)

3. Collected personal information is used solely for service provision, inquiry responses, and service improvement.

4. Personal information is deleted without delay upon account withdrawal, except where retention is required by applicable law.

Article 6 (Copyright and Content)

1. Copyright of designs created through the Service belongs to the user who created them.

2. By posting designs on the Service, users grant the Operator a non-exclusive license to display, share, and exhibit the designs within the Service.

3. Users warrant that their content does not infringe upon the copyright, trademark rights, personality rights, or other rights of third parties.

4. All legal liability arising from infringing content shall be borne by the user who created and posted such content. The Operator bears no responsibility whatsoever.

5. At the time a user makes a design public (shares/posts it) or changes its visibility setting, the user is deemed to have explicitly agreed to the non-infringement warranty in paragraph 3.

Article 7 (Content Management and Access)

1. Users may set their content as public or private.

2. The Operator may access all content, including private content, in the following cases:

  • Inspection and handling of reported content
  • Investigation of Terms of Service violations
  • Compliance with legal requests
  • Service operations and resolution of technical issues

3. The Operator will not view users' private content or disclose it to third parties for purposes other than those stated above.

Article 8 (Prohibited Content)

Users may not create or post content that falls under any of the following:

  • Content created for the purpose of commercial gain that infringes on others' intellectual property rights, such as copyrights or trademarks
  • Unauthorized use of likenesses of celebrities or public figures
  • Unauthorized use of corporate logos or brand marks
  • Obscene or sexually inappropriate content
  • Violent or cruel content
  • Hate speech targeting specific individuals or groups
  • Content containing spam, advertisements, or malware
  • Other content that violates applicable laws

However, even where a user creates or posts parody or fan art for non-commercial or hobby purposes, the Operator may, without determining whether infringement has occurred, remove such content without prior notice under Article 9 of these Terms upon the request of the original rights holder, and this does not constitute an acknowledgment by the Operator that the content infringes copyright.

Article 9 (Content Removal and Usage Restrictions)

1. The Operator may remove content that falls under Article 8 or is deemed inappropriate for service operations without prior notice.

2. The Operator may suspend service access or delete accounts of users who violate these Terms.

3. Users may appeal to the Operator if they object to usage restriction measures.

4. When a rights infringement report is received, the Operator may immediately remove the content.

5. Reports of copyright or other rights infringement are accepted via the official email (info@myblockstudio.com). Upon receiving a report, the Operator may temporarily make the content private (blind) even before determining whether an infringement has occurred. The Operator aims to review whether an infringement has occurred within 10 business days of receiving the report and to remove or restore the content accordingly.

Article 10 (Points)

1. The Operator may award points to users for in-service activities determined by the Operator, such as logins (attendance), publishing designs, posting photo reviews, and referring friends.

2. Points are a reward for in-service activity, have no monetary value, and cannot be exchanged for cash.

3. The criteria for awarding points, their scope of use, and their validity period are determined by the Operator and may change as operationally necessary.

4. Points obtained through fraudulent means may be revoked.

Article 11 (Service Changes and Termination)

1. The Operator may change or terminate all or part of the Service.

2. In the event of service termination, the Operator will provide at least 30 days' notice and endeavor to provide users with a period to back up their content.

3. The Operator is not liable for damages resulting from service changes or termination.

Article 12 (Disclaimer)

1. The Operator is not liable for service interruptions caused by force majeure events such as natural disasters or system failures.

2. The Operator is not liable for copyright infringement, rights violations, or any other disputes arising from content posted by users through the Service.

3. The Operator does not intervene in disputes between users or between users and third parties, and bears no responsibility for such disputes.

4. All legal claims and damage claims arising from user content shall be addressed by the respective user, and users shall compensate the Operator for any damages incurred.

Article 13 (Changes to Terms)

1. The Operator may modify these Terms as necessary.

2. Updated Terms will be announced through in-service notifications and take effect 7 days after notification.

3. Users who do not agree with the updated Terms may discontinue use of the Service and withdraw their account.

Article 14 (Governing Law and Jurisdiction)

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Japan. Any disputes arising in connection with the use of the Service shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the court competent for the Operator's location as the court of first instance.
